Lionel Messi, also known as Leo Messi, is an Argentine professional footballer who has achieved incredible success in his career. He's widely regarded as one of the greatest football players of all time, having won numerous awards, including a record eight Ballon d'Or awards. Messi played most of his career for Barcelona, where he won numerous titles. 

He has also had great success with the Argentina national team, winning the 2021 Copa América and the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Known for his scoring ability and playmaking skills, Messi holds numerous records, including the most goals in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. 

After leaving Barcelona in 2021, he played for Paris Saint-Germain for two seasons and then joined Inter Miami in 2023. 

Messi's influence in football extends beyond the field, and he's been recognized for his impact both on and off the pitch, becoming one of the most influential and highest-earning athletes in the world.
